Privacy Policy

1. What Voxr is

Voxr is a phone service for small businesses. When a business can't answer a call, the call is forwarded to a Voxr number, where an AI assistant named Sara answers, takes a message and texts the business owner the lead. This policy explains what information we handle for two groups of people: business owners who sign up for Voxr, and callers who phone a business that uses Voxr.

2. Information we collect

From business owners:

  • Your name, business name, trade, city and state, mobile number and email address.
  • What you tell Sara about your business: services, service area, hours and common questions.
  • Your consent to receive text messages: the wording you agreed to, the time, your IP address and browser details.
  • Your plan and billing status. Your card is handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.

From callers:

  • The phone number you are calling from (caller ID) and the time and length of the call.
  • What you tell Sara: usually your name, a callback number, where the job is, what you need and how urgent it is.
  • Calls may be recorded. Sara tells every caller at the start of the call that it may be recorded. We keep the audio of both sides of the call and a written transcript of what was said, for 90 days, to check that Sara answered correctly and to fix problems. After 90 days both are deleted. Your speech is also turned into text while you talk so Sara can respond. If you do not want to be recorded, hang up when Sara says so. We also keep the details you gave and a short summary of the call (see below).

From our website: basic server logs such as IP address, pages requested and browser type.

3. How we use it

  • To answer calls, take messages and text the lead to the business owner.
  • To run your account, take payment, give support and send service messages.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use callers' information for marketing, and we do not share it with anyone except the business the caller phoned and the service providers listed below.

4. Sara is an AI assistant

Sara tells every caller that she is an AI assistant. The words of the conversation are processed by an AI model to produce her replies. Sara does not give prices, book jobs or give advice, and she tells callers to dial 911 if anyone is in danger.

5. Text messages

We send three kinds of text messages:

  • Business owners: leads, account setup, reminders, a weekly summary and billing, only after the owner agrees to it when they sign up. For now these come from a number registered to LocalPageUp (another service of Terra Nova Trading LLC) and begin "Voxr by LocalPageUp"; later they will come from the owner's Voxr number.
  • Callers of a Voxr business (not switched on yet; starts after our Voxr text registration is approved): after you call a business that uses Voxr, you receive one text from that business's number thanking you for calling. If you reply, Sara (our AI assistant) answers by text, asks what you need, where the job is, your name and how urgent it is, and passes that to the business. We text you because you contacted the business first. Your number, the messages and the lead details are kept as described in section 8. We do not send promotions or links in these texts. We do not text callers who have opted out, and we do not text landline numbers.
  • People who try our demo line: if, during the demo call, you say yes when Sara asks whether to text you a link, you receive one text with a link to start a free trial. We keep a record of your spoken yes (the time, the number and what you said) as proof of consent.

Reply STOP to any Voxr text to stop all Voxr texts, HELP for help, or START to turn them back on. Message and data rates may apply. We never sell phone numbers or share them for marketing. See the text message terms in our Terms.

6. Who we share information with

We use these service providers to run Voxr: Twilio (phone numbers, calls and speech-to-text/text-to-speech), SignalWire (text messages sent from LocalPageUp's number), Anthropic (AI responses), Stripe (payments), Zoho (email) and our web hosting provider. They process information only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or in a sale or transfer of the business.

7. How long we keep it

  • Call recordings and call transcripts are kept for 90 days and then deleted.
  • Other call and lead records (caller number, time and length of the call, the details you gave) are kept for 24 months and then deleted.
  • Signup and text-consent records are kept for 5 years as proof of consent, then deleted or stripped of identifying details.
  • Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • When you cancel, we release your Voxr number and stop answering calls. Your records stay for the periods above. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, including as a caller, by emailing support@voxr.pro. If you are a caller, include the number you called from. Residents of states with privacy laws, including California, may have additional rights, and we will honor valid requests. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.

9. Security

We use access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Voxr is for businesses and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date above.

12. Google Calendar (optional)

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar from your Voxr dashboard, we ask Google for permission to (a) see when you are busy (free/busy times) on the calendars you pick, (b) see the names of your calendars so you can pick them, and (c) add, and later remove, events for appointments you confirmed through Voxr. We use this only to offer callers open appointment times and to put confirmed appointments on your calendar. We do not read the titles, descriptions or attendees of your other events, we do not use your Google data for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone else. Our AI assistant is only told which times are open, never your calendar contents.

We store the access token Google gives us encrypted, and we keep it only while you are connected. You can disconnect at any time from your dashboard (we then revoke the token at Google and delete our copy), or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. If you cancel Voxr we also revoke and delete it. Events already added to your Google Calendar stay there until you delete them.

Voxr's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
